Job Overview
Hidden Roots Mental Health LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our Mobile Crisis Team. The QMHP Mobile Crisis role is responsible for providing rapid, community-based mental health crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies. This position plays a critical role in stabilizing individuals in crisis, reducing the need for hospitalization, and connecting them with ongoing supports and resources.
Scope of Work
- Provide on-site crisis intervention and support to individuals in emotional or behavioral health crises.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and de-escalation interventions.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, hospitals, schools, and other community providers to coordinate care during crisis situations.
- Deliver short-term therapeutic interventions and link individuals to appropriate follow-up services, including outpatient treatment, community stabilization, or residential support.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies, Medicaid, and DBHDS regulations.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage of crisis services.
- Support families and caregivers with resources, education, and guidance during and after crisis events.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, supervisors, and case managers, to ensure continuity of care.
What We Are Looking For
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
- Willing to work in a hybrid setup.
QMHP Requirements:
Education & Credentials:
- Bachelors degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.
- Must meet DBHDS qualifications for QMHP.
Experience:
- Prior experience in crisis intervention, mental health services, or community-based care preferred.
Skills & Qualities:
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of the crisis rotation schedule.
