Job DescriptionJob DescriptionpThe DCS Air amp; Space Technology (AST) Sector is seeking a Lead Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support extensive high visibility Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSamp;A) efforts. Our work focuses on conducting capability assessments for emerging military technologies and ensuring related tools and methodologies are suitable to inform Department of Defense (DoD) decision makers./ppstrongEssential Job Functions:/strong/ppAs a Lead Modeling and Simulation Engineer, you could expect to:/ppConstruct military models and entities of varying complexity in AFSIM./ppProvide dynamic scripting techniques to produce modeled entity actions/interactions in AFSIM./ppCreate and enhance operationally relevant scenarios that accurately represent actions, reactions, and interactions between entities in the AFSIM simulation./ppContribute to the development and execution of MSamp;A study plans to be conducted using AFSIM./ppCollaborate with subject matter experts, such as pilots and technologists, to identify requirements for system implementation in AFSIM./ppCoordinate with team members to contribute to execution of analysis of studies, analyze AFSIM results, and prepare and present study findings./ppCollaborate with agile AFSIM software development teams to build and enhance MSamp;A solutions./ppCollaborate with study leads and customer stakeholders to identify study requirements and develop relevant technical approaches./ppstrongRequired Skills:/strong/ppDue to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required./ppAt least a BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline and at least 12 years of related analysis experience./ppApplicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information./ppActive TS/SCI level U.S. DoD security clearance./ppAt least 8 years of hands-on experience creating AFSIM scenarios and models for engagement and/or mission level studies./ppExcellent written and verbal English communications skills./ppAbility to apply the scientific method to diverse MSamp;A efforts./ppScripting or programming experience./ppAbility to work well in team environments./ppAbility to travel, as required./ppstrongDesired Skills:/strong/ppMS in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical discipline./ppHigh level of proficiency in C++, Python, SysML, or other programming language./ppFamiliarity with modern military systems, both foreign and domestic./pp/p
