Livermore Fusion Soccer Club is a leading competitive soccer organization in Northern California, committed to delivering a premier soccer experience for players, families, and the community. We are focused on operational excellence, player development, and positioning our athletes for success at the collegiate and professional levels.

Position Summary

The Executive Director serves as the executive responsible for driving the strategic, operational, and financial success of Livermore Fusion Soccer Club. This role requires a proven leader who can scale operations, develop high-performing staff, and deliver a world-class soccer program recognized across California.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Leadership

  • Partner with the Board of Directors to set and execute growth strategies that enhance Fusion’s reputation as a premier club in California.
  • Establish KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting processes to measure progress and ensure accountability across all areas of the organization.

Operational Excellence

  • Design and implement scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure to support sustainable club growth.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure long-term stability and growth.

Staff Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, retain, and develop top talent across coaching and administrative functions.
  • Build a performance-driven culture focused on collaboration, continuous improvement and accountability.

Player Pathways

  • Maintain clear development pathways to collegiate and professional soccer, aligning with best practices in training and player progression.

External Relations & Brand Building

  • Represent Fusion with governing bodies, leagues, sponsors, and community partners to elevate the club’s visibility and influence.
  • Build strong relationships with families and stakeholders to drive retention and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as an Executive Director or senior leader within a nonprofit, youth sports, or executive leader in the business arena.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sports management or youth development, with a focus on growth.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations, implementing efficient processes, and driving measurable results.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, program development, and community outreach.
  • Track record of helping kids advance to college or professional levels.
  • Highly experienced in project management methodologies with a demonstrated track record of successful delivery of complex projects on time and budget.
  • Strong background in staff leadership, with the ability to recruit, coach, and grow high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapts to changing requirements.
  • Financial and business acumen, with the ability to manage complex budgets and drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and organizational leadership skills.
