Title: Electrical Foreman
Location: Southern Arizona
Reports To: Director of Operations & Project Manager
Supervises: All Field Labor – Journeymen, Electrical crew, Apprentices
Collaborates With: Project Managers, Shop Foremen, Safety Officers, Clients, Subcontractors
Position Summary:
The Electrical Foreman is a key position responsible for site leadership, technical coordination, safety management, and team training. Essential skills for this role are strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, effective communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Plan and schedule electrical work, coordinate material delivery, and manage the project timeline to meet deadlines.
- Lead daily operations including planning, scheduling, material control, and equipment logistics.
- Conduct site surveys and material takeoffs to support project execution.
- Coordinate with shop foremen for production scheduling and driver logistics.
- Ensure jobs are properly staffed, sequenced, and detailed to APS standards.
- Oversee equipment startup and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and owners.
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for field personnel.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align field efforts with project goals.
- Report project status, challenges, and updates to senior leadership.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct job-site inspections to ensure work meets or exceeds industry and company quality standards.
- Perform QA analysis to reduce callbacks and warranty work.
- Walk jobs with clients to verify satisfaction before turnover.
Lean & Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
- Embrace Lean Construction and IPD principles to enhance productivity and collaboration.
- Participate in and promote Lean processes across all project phases.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and out-of-the-box thinking.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all personnel comply with APS safety standards and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with the safety officer to conduct jobsite inspections and implement corrective actions.
- Document all incidents and enforce company policies and jobsite protocols.
Client & Subcontractor Relationships
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, general contractors, and trade partners.
- Proactively communicate and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment and project success.
Team Development & Human Resources
- Mentor and lead field teams to achieve high performance and career growth.
- Identify and recommend team members for promotions or incentives.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new field employees.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Require significant hands-on experience in the electrical trade and previous supervisory experience.
- Knowledge: Understanding of Lean Construction, IPD, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Skills:
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documents.
- Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and solve problems independently.
- Comfortable managing multiple crews and priorities in high-pressure environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, National Electrical Code (NEC), and electrical codes.
- A strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety in all aspects of the work

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to navigate active construction sites, including climbing stairs and working near large equipment.
- Must be able to safely maneuver in tight mechanical spaces (ductwork, piping, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (DOE)
