About us

ChristianaCare is a nonprofit teaching health system based in Wilmington, Delaware, serving Delaware and parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey. It is one of the largest health care organizations in the region, dedicated to providing innovative and equitable care. The system includes Christiana Hospital and Wilmington Hospital, which together have over 1,400 beds, as well as a freestanding emergency department and a Level I trauma center. The organization offers a wide range of services, including primary care, outpatient services, home health care, urgent care, rehabilitation, and extensive hospital-based care. ChristianaCare is also home to specialized centers like the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute and the Center for Heart & Vascular Health. As a teaching health system, it trains over 300 residents and fellows, emphasizing education and innovation in health care delivery. With more than 11,000 employees, ChristianaCare is the largest private employer in Delaware and actively contributes to community health through various initiatives.
